Organizers say the 2015 Prince George’s County Memorial Stair Climb and Walk is a way to honor and remember the New York Fire Department firefighters who died trying to rescue workers in the World Trade Center during the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. Each participant pays tribute to an FDNY firefighter by climbing or walking the equivalent of the 110 stories of the World Trade Center.
Through firefighter and community participation the event ensures that each of the 343 fallen firefighters is honored.

The first 343 registered participants will receive a free lunch from the Gaylord’s Galaxy Cafeteria after the event, a special edition 2015 Memorial Stair Climb and Walk Challenge Coin and an event T-shirt. All participants after the first 343 registered are invited to lunch and will receive 20 percent off their lunch in the Galaxy Cafeteria.
The Stair Climb and Walk benefits the FDNY CSU and the programs provided by the NFFF to support the families of the nation’s fallen firefighters.
