Accokeek Man Identified as Shooting Victim: Police

Prince George's County Police say Darius White died Tuesday in New Carrollton. A $25,000 reward is being offered for leads in the shooting.

Authorities have released the name of a man gunned down in New Carrollton, and a $25,000 reward is being offered for leads in the case.

Darius Edward White, 36, of Garner Lane in Accokeek was found lying outside a residence in the 5400 block of 85th Avenue about early Tuesday, according to the Prince George’s County Police Department.

New Carrollton Police officers found White suffering from apparent gunshot wounds; he was pronounced dead at the scene.

There have been several fatal shootings already this month in the county. Monday night police went door to door in Landover Hills in hopes of turning up fresh leads in that homicide.

Detectives are working to identify a motive and suspects in the New Carrollton shooting.
