PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Patch recently partnered with the SPCA/Humane Society of Prince George's County. Each week, we will bring you the cutest pets looking for homes. Here are this week's adorable adoptables.

Emma

I’m a sweet, affectionate girl, who loves attention from my foster mom. I follow her everywhere. She says I’m like a little puppy dog. If I feel that my foster mom isn’t paying attention to me, I’ll climb my cat tree and meow. If that doesn’t work, I’ll use my head and paws to get her to pet me. I’ll return the favor by grooming her back. I don’t like sharing my foster mom’s attention though, especially with the other cats in the house.

Hobbies: Getting pets and scratches.

Favorite Toy: I don’t play with toys much because that attracts the other cats in my foster home. I love my cat tree though!

Favorite Napping Spot: Anywhere my foster mom is.

Dorothy

My foster mom says I’m full of personality and know my own mind. Any toy I find is mine and I’m not always happy about sharing with my sisters. I’m a very good jumper and like to show off my skills. I like to balance my play time with a good nap. I also like to be held and have my ears rubbed when I’m ready to settle down. I'm super excited to find a home! Wherever it is though, it must be with my sister, Sophia. We love each other so much and can't be separated.

Hobbies: Eating, playing with my toys, getting ear rubs.

Favorite Toy: Bendy, twisty ones, like plastic springs.

Favorite Napping Spot: With my sister.

Sophia

I have lots of opinions and am very vocal about what I want. I will tell you when I want to eat, when I want to be held, and when I want to go play in another room. I am super playful, but I also love to be held like a baby. I love my sisters and will sometimes groom them when I think they need a good bath. I get very excited at mealtimes; they're my favorite times of the day!

Hobbies: Bird watching, climbing my cat tree and eating.

Favorite Toy: Ones with bells.

Favorite Napping Spot: With my sister Dorothy.

If you're looking for a kitten or two to brighten up your home, look no further than the PGSPCA's Kitten Palooza! They will have a kaboodle of adoptable kittens you can meet and cuddle this Sunday at the Bowie PetSmart on Mitchellville Road. The Palooza runs from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. So come on down! The kittens are waiting to see if you can be their new family! The SPCA will be take applications, but no on-site adoptions will occur.

The local SPCA is a volunteer-run organization that does not operate a physical shelter. Volunteers house the animals in their own homes until they are adopted. Every pet up for adoption is listed here. To start the adoption process, fill out this form. Anyone with questions can call (301) 262-5625 or email pgspcavol@gmail.com.
