Adorable Adoptables From Prince George's County SPCA: New Series

Patch will give a weekly roundup of the cutest pets up for adoption at the local SPCA. Here are the first week's adorable adoptables.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Patch recently partnered with the SPCA/Humane Society of Prince George's County. Each week, we will bring you the cutest pets looking for homes. Here are this week's adorable adoptables.

Petey is a sweet, very shy boy looking for a special family with lots of time and patience to let him adjust to his new surroundings. Once he's comfortable, he'll be the most lovable, playful little boy. He's about one-year-old, and came from an outdoor colony that needed to be relocated. Some of the cats found barn homes, but Petey wanted to live inside. He takes a while to trust people, but he does love being an indoor pet.

Randy and his brother, Huey, were living outside, rescued as kittens. Randy recently had orthopedic surgery to fix a "floating kneecap" and was the perfect patient during his months-long recovery. He is about 7-months-old. He's very affectionate, and loves belly rubs and chasing plastic springs. Randy and Huey are very bonded. They must go to the same home.

Huey loves getting attention and sitting next to you to be petted. He is more adventurous than his brother Randy, but these two boys need a home together. They are orange crushes and guaranteed to steal your heart.

The local SPCA is a volunteer-run organization that does not operate a physical shelter. Volunteers house the animals in their own homes until they are adopted. Every pet up for adoption is listed here. To start the adoption process, fill out this form. Anyone with questions can call (301) 262-5625 or email pgspcavol@gmail.com.
