OXON HILL, MD — A Prince George's County man has been arrested after police said he was seen performing a lewd act while standing in the shoe department of a store, then rubbed a woman's buttocks.
Charles County sheriff's deputies were called to a business located in the Festival Way Shopping Center around 7 p.m. for a report of an indecent exposure case. Authorities said the suspect, Cory Rashid Simpson, 34, of Oxon Hill, was inside the business and was seen performing a lewd act while standing in the shoe department.
A woman also in that store told sheriff's deputies that she felt someone touch her buttocks and saw Simpson standing behind her. He ran from the store before deputies arrived, but they found him nearby and arrested him.
Simpson was charged with disorderly conduct/indecent exposure and assault. On April 11, shortly before midnight, a district court commissioner released Simpson from the Charles County Detention Center on personal recognizance.
