String Of Airbag Thefts May have Been Caught On Camera

LAUREL, MD — Residents in several neighborhoods are asked to review their doorbell or home security camera footage from the overnight hours of April 21-22.

Police reported more than 20 airbag thefts that happened in several neighborhoods. Anyone with video from the evening, overnight or early morning hours that shows any suspicious individuals or vehicles is asked to contact the Laurel Police Department.

"Any footage provided will be used solely for investigative purposes by the LPD. Your cooperation can make a meaningful difference in identifying those responsible and preventing future incidents. Thank you for helping keep our community safe," the police department stated.

So far, police officers have received reports of airbag thefts in the following locations:

• 15000 Block Haynes Road
• 200 Block Eleventh Street
• 1100 Block Snowden Place
• 600 Block Prince George Street
• 700 Block Park Avenue
• 900 Block Nichols Drive
• 500 Block Ninth Street
• 700 and 300 Block Laurel Avenue
• 900 and 1000 Block Phillip Powers Drive
• 14200 Block West Side Boulevard
