BRANDYWINE, MD — Demolition and replacement of a 63-year-old bridge in Brandywine will last through the end of the year.
The $6.4 million project on MD 382, or Croom Road, replaces the bridge spanning County Line Creek. The two-lane bridge will be replaced by a single-span concrete bridge and will be slightly wider than the current bridge.
Weather permitting, the project will wrap up by the end of the year and include roadway reconstruction and paving along MD 382.
During portions of construction, a detour will be in place to allow crews to expedite the process. The detour will be in effect for approximately two months, weather permitting, and will start sometime in June.
