COLLEGE PARK, MD — A child died after falling 10 stories at a high-rise apartment building.
Emergency responders were called to the 9300 block of Cherry Hill Road just after 9 p.m. Thursday, which is where Seven Springs Apartments also is located.
The child was taken to a nearby hospital but passed away from injuries sustained in the fall.
A relative told FOX 5 that the girl was four years old and tumbled out of a 10th story bedroom window. Neighbors who witnessed the incident said the screen was on the ground next to the little girl after the fall.
In November, a 2-year-old fell from a sixth-floor window, and in August, a 3-year-old fell off a balcony from the same floor. Both children survived.
