LAUREL, MD — Authorities are searching for a 24-year-old man they say is wanted for attempted murder.
An arrest warrant has been issued for Michael Dakernu Dennah, 24, of Beltsville, in connection to a shooting that happened May 5 in Laurel.
Police say Dennah is considered armed and dangerous.
"Do not approach him," the Laurel Police Department advised.
Dennah is wanted on the following charges:
• 3 counts of 1st-degree attempted murder
• 3 counts of 2nd-degree attempted murder
• Firearms related offenses including use of a firearm in a violent crime, handgun on person and reckless endangerment.
On May 5, Laurel police officers received reports of gunfire and found three adults with gunshot wounds. All victims were taken to local hospitals for emergency medical care.
Through investigative efforts, including witness interviews, forensic analysis and surveillance review, detectives identified Dennah as the suspect responsible for the shooting.
