School Supply Drives Underway In Landover Hills, College Park

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Two school supply drives are being hosted by law enforcement - one in person Friday and one running now through Aug. 10.

The Prince George's County Office of the Sheriff has teamed up with Home Depot, Malachi Grand Lodge and Walmart for their Stuff a Cruiser event Friday from 8 to 4 p.m. at 6210 Annapolis Rd. in Landover Hills.

They're collecting pens and pencils, erasers and sharpeners, crayons, colored pencils, markers, folders and binders, notebooks, index cards, looseleaf paper, tape and glue sticks.

The University of Maryland Police also is collecting new school supplies and school uniforms. Donations can either be dropped off at the Pocomoke Building at the service window or officers can pick items up at any on-campus location.

U of M Police is collecting white polo shirts and navy blue pants for boys and girls in all sizes with an emphasis on those for students age four to seven.
