Woman Leaves Threatening Voicemails For Prince George's Judge

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — A Prince George's County woman faces charges including threats of mass violence after authorities say she left numerous "threatening" voicemail messages for a judge and the county courthouse.

Lolita Jones-Stafford left what police say were "a series of threatening voicemail messages" between June 29 and July 8. Approximately 30 calls were made from her phone "expressing anger over a previously executed search warrant."

Prosecutors say that the messages included threats of mass violence directed at the Prince George's County Courthouse and specific threats were made toward a judge.

Charges filed against Jones-Stafford include threats of mass violence, threats against state officials and telephone misuse. She is being held at the Upper Marlboro Department of Corrections while waiting for her court appearance.
