HYATTSVILLE, MD —Sheriff's deputies arrested a man in Hyattsville recently after receiving a report that he had sexually assaulted a woman and threatened her with a gun.
According to the Prince George's County Sheriff's Office, a woman told police that Elijah Hamilton sexually assaulted her and then threatened her with a handgun after the assault in September 2025.
The sheriff's office announced Friday that Hamilton was arrested Aug. 21 and and taken to the Prince George's County Department of Corrections in Upper Marlboro where he is being held without bond. He has been charged with first-degree rape.
