GREENBELT, MD — Police arrested the same man twice in August in connection to a series of vandalism events involving homes located in the Greenbelt Station community.
Nghia Trong Le was arrested and charged with malicious destruction of property over $1,000 after Greenbelt Police say he vandalized four homes, including two houses that were targeted multiple times.
Le was first arrested Aug. 6 in connection to previous property destruction allegations. Detectives determined that Le targeted residences near Greenbelt Station Parkway by throwing rocks through windows and then fleeing the area on foot.
On Aug. 28, officers responded to another report of vandalism similar to the previous incidents. Video provided by a resident showed a suspect throwing rocks at a window before fleeing. Officers identified the suspect as Le, then tracked him down and arrested him.
The combined damage from the incidents is estimated to be several thousand dollars, the police department stated.
Anyone with additional information is asked to contact the Greenbelt Police Department at 301-474-7200.
