LANDOVER, MD — Detectives are investigating a now fatal collision involving a 50-year-old Upper Marlboro woman last month.
On Aug. 31 around 1:10 p.m., Prince George's police officers were called to the area of Martin Luther King, Jr. Highway and Columbia Park Road in Landover where they found Tamica Wilson in the road. She was taken to the hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries, according to police.
Wilson died Sept. 4.
The preliminary investigation indicates that Wilson was attempting to cross Martin Luther King Jr. Highway when, for reasons now being investigated, she was hit by a vehicle heading eastbound. The driver wasn't injured and remained at the scene, according to police.
Investigators ask that anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who has dash camera or home surveillance footage that captured the incident contact the Prince George's County Police Department.
