ACCOKEEK, MD — A 19-year-old Prince George's County man has been charged in connection to three reported incidents in which women were groped, including one inside a Waldorf business.
Investigators believe there could be additional victims.
Jalen Andre Simon of Accokeek was arrested Thursday by Charles County Sheriff's Office detectives and charged with fourth-degree sexual assault and disorderly conduct, authorities said.
On Friday, a judge ordered that Simon could be released from the Charles County Detention Center on electronic monitoring.
The investigation began in July after officers were called to a Waldorf business for a report that a woman had been groped while shopping, according to authorities.
Two additional incidents were reported in September, according to the sheriff's office. Authorities did not disclose where those incidents occurred or whether they happened at the same business.
Investigators identified Simon as a suspect and served a search warrant at his home in Accokeek. Prince George's County Police assisted with the search, law enforcement said.
The investigation remains ongoing.
Anyone with information about these incidents, or anyone who believes they may have been a victim, is asked to contact Detective Bagwell at 301-609-6501.
