Another $1M Mega Millions Ticket Sold In MD, Jackpot Swells To $910M
The ticket is the third worth $1 million or more sold in Maryland in the last week. Two prizes remain unclaimed, officials said.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — The Mega Millions jackpot soared to nearly $1 billion after no one won Tuesday's top prize of $820 million. And while no big winner came from this week's first drawing, another ticket worth $1 million was sold in Maryland, according to lottery officials.
The numbers drawn late Tuesday were 3, 5, 6, 44 and 61. The gold Mega Ball was 25. The winning Maryland ticket matched all five white balls, making it worth $1 million, according to the Mega Millions website.
Maryland Lottery officials said the lucky ticket was sold at Pine Liquors, located at 9231 Oxon Hill Rd. in Fort Washington.

The ticket was the third second-tier winning Mega Millions ticket sold in Maryland since the jackpot was last hit on April 18. Two tickets worth $1 million and $4 million were sold for the July 18 drawing and were purchased at National Pike Fuel in Catonsville and Lobby Shop in Baltimore, respectively.
Two prizes remain unclaimed, lottery officials said.

A third-tier winning ticket worth $40,000, meaning the ticket matched four white balls and the Mega Ball with the Megaplier option, was sold at Giant Food in Towson, lottery officials said.
Nationwide, only one other big winner came from Tuesday's drawing. A ticket purchased in Texas matched all five white balls plus the Megaplier option, making it worth $4 million.
Since no one snagged the big prize Tuesday, Friday's jackpot swells to an estimated $910 million with an estimated cash option of $464.2 million. The potential jackpot is the fifth-largest in the game’s history.
Drawings are held at 11 p.m. ET on Tuesdays and Fridays.
