Are Your Child Car Seats Installed Properly?

PG County Police and the PG Community Federal Credit Union will perform free checks for car seat installations in Upper Marlboro.

Car seats and booster seats can be difficult and annoying to install properly.

Prince George’s County Police Department will partner with the Prince George’s Community Federal Credit Union to hold a car seat check at Croom Volunteer Fire Department in Upper Marlboro on from 2 to 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 7 .

Certified car seat technicians will be on hand to ensure seats are installed properly. The event is free and open to public. No appointments are necessary.

All car seats must be installed prior to arrival. Those who wish to have their seats checked are asked to bring the manufacturer’s manuals for the vehicle and car seat if possible.

Child car seat checks will take place the first Thursday of each month through December at various locations throughout the county:
