Argument Over Girl Prompted Central High Stabbing: Police

Police charged the student with attempted murder after the Thursday morning incident.

CAPITOL HEIGHTS, MD -- Police have announced charges against a student at Central High School who allegedly stabbed two fellow students after an argument Thursday.

Police arrested 19-year-old Edwin Aguilar Martinez of Seat Pleasant on two counts of attempted murder, two counts of assault, and a weapons charge, according to a report from the Prince George's County Police Department.

Officers responded to a report of a stabbing at the school at around 9 a.m. on Jan. 11, and located two students who had been stabbed. Both students are in stable condition at the hospital.
