Armed Robbery Suspect Threatens Victim With Gun, Knife: Police

A Prince George's County man has been arrested and charged after robbing a driver at gunpoint and knifepoint in Fairfax County, Va. Tuesday.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA — A Prince George's County man has been arrested and charged after robbing a driver at gunpoint and knifepoint in Fairfax County, Va. Tuesday. The incident happened in the 6000 block of Farrington Avenue just outside the City of Alexandria, police said.

Police located the suspect in his car nearby and arrested him. Nigel Crawley, 24, of Fort Washington is charged with armed robbery and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

Around 11 a.m. Tuesday, the victim reported to police he had been robbed at gunpoint. Police say Crawley pulled up in a silver Honda across the road from the victim and approached his car. The victim got out of the car, and Crawley demanded money, threatening him with a gun and knife, police said.

The victim handed over cash and Crawley fled. He was not injured.
