Armored Truck Robbery In Beltsville: Police

Police are looking for two suspects who are believed to have fled the area.

BELTSVILLE, MD -- At least two suspects robbed an armored truck outside of a bank in Beltsville on Friday morning.

Police say that at around 10:30 a.m., two suspects approached armored truck employees outside of a bank in the 10600 block of Baltimore Avenue and announced a robbery, according to a tweet from the Prince George's County Police Department.

The suspects were armed. They stole money and fled in a van, police say. Police have recovered the van.

As the employees were loading money into an ATM, a van drove the wrong way through the bank's exit and two gunmen jumped out, police say.

After getting the money, they fled and are believed to be no longer in the area, even though the van was recovered.
