Avenue Plus-Size Women's Clothing to Open in Bowie

The trendy retailer Avenue, offering women's clothes in sizes 14-32, will open in March at Bowie Town Center.

BOWIE, MD — Avenue, a retailer that offers women’s plus-size clothing, will open next month at Bowie Town Center, according to a news release.

The shop will open next to Torrid in mid-March.

There are more than 300 Avenue stores across the nation, according to the company’s website. The chain began in 1983 as Sizes Unlimited; its mission is to offer quality plus-sized clothing in sizes 14-32.

Avenue’s on-trend offerings will include everything from chic basics and outerwear to stylish dresses, denim, sleepwear, intimate apparel, accessories and more, says the retailer.

The Bowie location will be the ninth for the chain in Maryland. There are already Avenue stores in Laurel, Greenbelt and Forestville, among others.

Shopping and dining options which opened at Bowie Town Center during the past year, include market-exclusive locations from Simply Mac and Stark and Legum Haberdashery, as well as Potbelly Sandwich Shop, TAMO Smoothies, Wesley’s Southern Cuisine and Wingstop.
