Award-winning Journalist Roland S. Martin To Speak At BSU

Innovator and award-winning journalist Roland S. Martin will be the guest speaker at Bowie State University's graduation ceremony.

BOWIE, MD -- Award-winning journalist Roland S. Martin will serve as the guest speaker at Bowie State University's spring commencement on Friday, May 17, starting at 10 a.m. An estimated 750 students will receive their degrees at graduation. Martin is best known for his multitude of interviews with influencers ranging from U.S. presidents to top athletes and entertainers.

According to the university, Martin has been a senior analyst for the Tom Joyner Morning Show since 2008, which is heard by eight million people through 100 radio stations every day. Martin also dedicated six years of his career to CNN. He also hosts and serves as managing editor of #RolandMartinUnfiltered, the first daily online show in history that focuses on news and analysis of politics, entertainment, sports, and culture from an African American perspective.

Graduation will be held at Bowie State University's Bulldog Stadium with a rain location scheduled for Leonidas S. James Physical Education Complex. A livestream of the commencement ceremony will also be available at www.bowiestate.edu/commencement.
