Back To School: PGCPS 2021-22 School Calendar

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — School supplies have returned to the shelves. That means families across Prince George's County are marking their calendars with the first day of class.

Students head back after Labor Day (Sept. 6) and Rosh Hashanah (Sept. 7). Here is when Prince George's County Public Schools students will return.

Student Orientation/Mock Virtual Class Day

First Day

• Wednesday, Sept. 8

Here are all the off days in the 2021 to 2022 PGCPS calendar:

Yom Kippur

• Thursday, Sept. 16

Professional Development Day

• Friday, Oct. 1
• Only students are off. Teachers work this day.

Native American Day And Parent-Teacher Conferences

• Monday, Oct. 11
• Only students are off. Teachers work this day.

Professional Development Day

• Friday, Oct. 15
• Only students are off. Teachers work this day.

Thanksgiving Break

• Wednesday, Nov. 24 through Sunday, Nov. 28

Winter Break

• Friday, Dec. 24 through Sunday, Jan. 2

Martin Luther King Jr. Day

• Monday, Jan. 17

Presidents' Day

• Monday, Feb. 21

Professional Development Day

• Monday, March 7
• Only students are off. Teachers work this day.

Spring Break

• Saturday, April 9 through Monday, April 18

Eid al-Fitr

• Tuesday, May 3
