Belcroft Bible Church Announces the Calling of their new Senior Pastor, Matt White

The Board of Elders, Deacons and congregation of Belcroft Bible Church are pleased to announce the calling of Matt White as Pastor, effective 3 January, 2016.

A special worship service will be held in his honor on Sunday, January 31st at 10:30 AM at the church, 13000 Beechtree Lane, Bowie, MD, 20715. Participating in the ceremony will be James Schuppe, former Pastor of Belcroft, and Van Mrsceau, Senior Pastor of Fellowship Bible Church, Shenandoah Junction, WV, Matt’s home church.

Pastor White has over twenty years of practical ministry experience and holds degrees from Appalachian Bible College and The Master’s Seminary. Before coming to Belcroft, Matt served in multiple churches in West Virginia and most recently as an associate pastor for three years at Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, CA, where John MacArthur is the Pastor-Teacher.

Matt is originally from West Virginia where he grew up enjoying God’s great outdoors being surrounded by mountains, rolling hills, and dairy farms. He learned about his sin and need for salvation from an early age and came to full repentance in his late teenage years. Being overwhelmed by God’s undeserved grace poured out into his life, Matt began to pour his life out for his Lord. After serving faithfully and extensively alongside his senior pastor for ten years, Matt was called into full time ministry.

Matt met his best friend and partner in life and ministry, Amy, in Glen Burnie, Maryland, and they have been married for over twenty years. The Lord has graciously blessed their family with four wonderful children: Sidney, Allison, Christian, and Hunter.

Matt enjoys serving the Lord, being in the outdoors, reading, a good cup of coffee, and spending time with his family. Matt has a deep passion for preaching the Word and equipping the saints in order that God may be glorified above all. He is excited to be shepherding at Belcroft as he seeks to help spread the gospel, strengthen families, and support servants both here in Bowie and beyond.
