Beltway Outer Loop Shut Down In PG County After Major Accident (Video)
BREAKING: Authorities are on the scene of an accident where a car sideswiped a tractor-trailer as someone was changing a tire.

CAMP SPRINGS, MD -- Two people have been injured, one critically, after a car sideswiped a tractor-trailer as someone was changing a tire on the Capital Beltway, shutting down the Outer Loop Monday afternoon.
Prince George's County Fire & Rescue spokesman Mark Brady tweeted shortly before 2 p.m. that there had been an accident on the Outer Loop near Branch Avenue and all lanes had been shut down, although the Inner Loop remained unaffected.
One person was critically injured, although the injuries didn't appear to be life-threatening. Another person had to be extracted from the SUV involved in the accident, and was conscious and breathing at the time.

"It appears that a person working to replace a tire on that tractor trailer was struck by this vehicle as it sideswiped that tractor trailer, and then crossed over all lanes of traffic before impacting the guard rail," Brady said in a video of the scene, which is embedded below. "Debris can be seen across all lanes of the Capital Beltway. The Inner Loop remains open, the Outer Loop is closed for an unknown period of time."
