Belvoir Scott's Plantation 1487 Generals Highway Crownsville, MD 21032

The race will start and end near the barn on the historic Belvoir Scott's Plantation property. The electronically timed 5K will begin at 9:00 am. An award ceremony will follow the completion of the 5K race. Optional events happening along with the 5K include a One-Mile Walk, and two Kids Runs: a Sprint Race for children 5 and under, and a Half-Mile Run for children 8 and under.

Course Description

The race takes place on historic Belvoir Scott’s Plantation and is a hand-wheeled 3.1 mile course. It begins and finishes on grass and includes wooded trails, hills, and a stretch of gravel lane. Runners will catch a view of the historic manor house once owned by Francis Scott Key’s grandparents, and will run by the location of a Revolutionary War campground and through beautiful wooded vistas. The course is challenging and exhilarating. Two water stops will be provided on the course as well as water and light snacks at the finish line.

  • Pre-registration is $35 for adults and $20 for youth 12 & under
  • Race day registration is $40 for adults and $25 for youth 12 & under

5K participants registering by April 14 receive an event themed, performance wear t-shirt.

Race Day Details

Packet pick up, t-shirt pickup and on-site registration will be Saturday, April 30 from 7:30 am to 8:30 am near the race start. Porta-Johns will be available. Post race refreshments will be provided. A bouncy house, face-painting and other amusements will be provided at no charge. Optional race day activities include a one-mile stroller walk and two races for children 8 & under.

Award Ceremony

Will be held after the race. Prizes will be awarded for the following categories:

  • Top three finishers overall, both male and female
  • Top Masters (40+) and top Grandmasters (60+), both male and female
  • Top finishers in each age division, both male and female

Overall winners are not eligible for age division awards. Awards must be picked up on race day and will not be mailed.
