Bicyclist Dies After Being Struck By Car In Lanham: Police

Police say they collided on Annapolis Road late Sunday night.

LANHAM, MD -- Police are investigating after a car struck a bicycle in Lanham late Sunday night, killing the rider, police say.

Police were called to the intersection of Annapolis Road and Morley Road at around 10:05 a.m. to a report of a collision, and found that a car and a bicycle were both traveling on Annapolis Road and collided, according to tweets from the Prince George's County Police Department.

The bicyclist, an adult man, was pronounced dead on the scene, and the driver of the car remained on the scene and cooperated with police, police say.

The driver was not injured. Police shut down Annapolis Road and Washington Boulevard to conduct an investigation.
