Biden Official Visits Prince George's To Tour New Community

GLENARDEN, MD — U.S. Housing and Urban Development Secretary Marcia Fudge will visit Prince George's County on Friday. She will join local leaders for a tour of a new community named the Residences at Glenarden Hills.

The event will highlight President Joe Biden's efforts to recover from the coronavirus pandemic. The initiative is called the Build Back Better agenda. It features the American Rescue Plan, the American Jobs Plan and the American Families Plan.

The event starts at 10 a.m. It will include a press conference as well as a roundtable discussion on Biden's strategies and local housing resources.

• U.S. Sen. Chris Van Hollen, State of Maryland
• U.S. Sen. Ben Cardin, State of Maryland
• U.S. Rep. Anthony Brown, Maryland’s 4th Congressional District

• Nathan Simms, Executive Director of Prince George’s County Housing Authority
• Stephen Paul, Director of the Prince George’s County Redevelopment Authority
• Patrick Stewart, Regional Vice President of Pennrose Company
