Bowie Boy Robbed at Knifepoint by Crofton Men for Shoes: Police

Bowie Police say three Crofton men ganged up on a 14-year-old boy who met them to sell three pairs of shoes.

A Bowie youth who met with three Crofton men, reportedly to sell them three pairs of shoes, was assaulted and robbed at knifepoint, according to Bowie Police.

The police report says the encounter happened about 2 p.m. Nov. 16 in the 4300 block of Old Collington Road. The 14-year-old boy told police that when he arrived at the meeting place, one of the suspects grabbed one of the pairs of shoes. As the victim tried to flee on the walking path, a suspect followed the boy.

One of the suspects assaulted the youth and showed a knife, demanding the other two pairs of shoes. The Crofton men then left the area in a dark-colored vehicle. Police say the suspects were found with the stolen shoes in their possession.

Suspects Jay Price Judy, 19, David John Webber Jr., 18, and Joshua Ramont Williams, 22, all of Crofton, were each charged with armed robbery.

Bowie Police say the victim suffered minor injuries.
