Bowie Celebrates Heritage Day May 17
Pony rides, bluegrass music, a chamber music concert, and a puppet theater performance of "The Three Pigs" are planned.

The City of Bowie will celebrates its heritage on Sunday, May 17, at all city sites between noon and 4 p.m. with free activities, music and more.
The fun includes Belair Stable, which will feature the Durham Station Bluegrass Band, free pony rides, hands-on activities for kids, and a chance to explore Bowie’s horse history. Bowie’s Big Purple Barn will bring rescued horses and “Ruby,” the famous chicken.

Belair Mansion will be open for tours and will feature a chamber music concert by the Capitol Reeds at 12:30 and the Blue Sky Puppet Theater will perform “The Three Pigs” at 2:30 p.m.
The Bowie Railroad Museum will host the Ntrack Modelers from Baltimore and The Lego Lady and her train set up.
