Bowie Crime Alert: ATM Users Faced Armed Robber
In the past two weeks, two people using ATM machines in Bowie were confronted by an armed man.

An armed robber confronted people using ATM machines in the past two weeks, prompting the Bowie Police Department to warn residents to use extra caution.
The first incident occurred at 10:57 p.m. Oct. 24 at the Bank of America, 3791 Evergreen Parkway in Bowie. Police say the suspect pointed a semi-automatic handgun at the victim through the driver’s window. The victim was able to quickly drive away.

In the second case, a man carrying a knife approached a customer using the ATM about 6:49 p.m. on Oct. 31 at Capital One Bank, 15460 Annapolis Road in Bowie. The suspect produced a knife, demanded money and then fled the scene in a white pickup truck.
The suspect is described as a black man, 6’0”, with a slim build. Police say he was wearing a white fleece hoodie, grey shirt, white skull cap, blue jeans, and black boots. The reported getaway vehicle may have been a

No injuries were reported in either case.
The Bowie Police Department is investigating both crimes.
