Bowie International Festival 2014: Everything You Need to Know
The annual Bowie International Festival will feature food and entertainment from different cultures worldwide.

From the city of Bowie website:
“Around the World in Just One Day” is the theme of this year’s Bowie International Festival, set for Saturday, Oct. 4.
There will a variety of entertainers, artists, crafters, food, and children’s activities at Allen Pond Park for the annual festival, which runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Music and dance performances will share the culture of Native Americans, Greece, Poland, the Caribbean, India, Africa and more.

• Vendors selling crafts, clothing, jewelry and other offerings from around the world.
Children’s Activities
Children may pick up a passport at any children’s activity booth or the event information booth and participate in various activities and accumulating stamps at each activity booth.
Activities include dance/music from different cultures, story time, and arts and crafts from around the world. At the end of the “trip,” children receive an international prize.
Sponsors Needed
The International Festival Planning Committee is seeking sponsorships to help cover the cost of children’s activities and entertainment at the festival. If you own, manage, or work for a local business that would like to be a sponsor, contact Matt Corley to find out how to do this. Names of sponsors will be included in advance publicity and will be posted at this fun, entertaining event.
