BOWIE, MD β€” Due to icy road conditions, no trash and recycling will be picked up Tuesday in Bowie. The city initially announced it would gather trash and recycling, but changed course.

According to the city, street crews worked throughout the night clearing roads but some problem areas remain, particularly on the south side of the city where equipment broke down. Crews will be working all day Tuesday to try and clear the rest of the roads.

Snowfall across Maryland ranged from 3 inches to a foot of snow in the state's first major winter storm of the season.
