Bowie Pet Lovers: Adoption Fees Reduced for Adopt-a-Dog Month

All adoption fees in Prince George's County are reduced by $100 at the County's Animal Services Facility.

October is the perfect month to bring home a new dog in Prince George’s County. The Department of the Environment Animal Management Division is celebrating Adopt-a-Dog Month.

Throughout October, adoption fees at the County’s Animal Services Facility, 3750 Brown Station Road, Upper Marlboro, is reduced to $125 -- originally $225.

“Every dog has their day and we’re hoping that today is that day!” says Rodney Taylor, associate director of the Animal Management Division. “During our month-long Adopt-a-Dog celebration, we encourage you to stop by our facility to see the big dogs and small puppies that are waiting to become loveable additions to your family.”

  • Monday, Tuesday and Friday: 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Wednesday: 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
  • Saturday: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The facility is closed on Thursday, Sunday and holidays.
