Bowie Resident Honored as Archdiocese of Washington Teacher of the Week

Courtney Smith of Bowie was honored as the Archdiocese of Washington teacher of the week.

Smith is in her third year instructing at Saint Matthias, but started with the Saint Matthias community as a parent. She is in her 13th year teaching preschool. At Saint Matthias, Smith is in charge of the PreK-4 class, prearing the youngest scholars for their educational journey.

Mrs. Smith is a lifelong learner and spent this summer at the Boston College Two Way Immersion Network summer institute, looking at language immersion for early childhood.
