Bowie Services for Ash Wednesday

Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent, which lasts through Holy Saturday—the day before Easter on April 8. Christians and churches throughout the area will participate in special services and Masses where ashes will be distributed.

St. Pius X Catholic Church, located at 3300 Moreland Pl., Mass 7 p.m.

St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church, located at 1940 Mitchellville Rd.; Mass 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Ascension Catholic, 12700 Lanham Severn Rd., Mass 7:30 p.m.
