Bowie Trick-Or-Treating Hours for Halloween 2015

Youngsters will be out on Bowie streets for Halloween trick or treat fun this Saturday, Oct. 31.
City officials suggest hours for trick or treating between 6:30 and 8:30 p.m.

The Bowie Police Department reminds trick-or-treaters and their parents to watch out for cars, carry a flashlight, and check all treats carefully.

Drivers on the roads Saturday should drive carefully and watch out for ghosts and goblins and other costumed creatures.

Other weekend harvest/Halloween events in Bowie are:

• Haunted House for Food Pantry. A Bowie resident has turned his front yard into a haunted house open to everyone if they bring donations for the Bowie Food Pantry. Tim Jumbelick built the haunted house in his yard at 5016 Patuxent Riding Lane. The attraction will be open from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Oct. 30 and 31.
• Harvest Festival at the Senior Center 12:30 p.m. Friday. Celebrate fall with music and refreshments. Registration and fee required. For more information, call 301-809-2300.
• Halloween On Ice Party 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Ice Arena. Wear a costume or bring a canned good for free admission. Music, games, skating, costume contest and treat bags for all in costume 13 years of age and under. For more information, call 301-809-3090.
