Bowie, Upper Marlboro Men Killed in Shooting: Police

The fatal shooting happened late Friday in Oxon Hill. A $25,000 reward is being offered for tips.

Authorities say a Bowie man and an Upper Marlboro man died after a shooting Friday night in Oxon Hill.

The victims are Deangelo Green, 24, of Town Farm Road in Upper Marlboro and Rashard Jackson, 35, of Alydar Court in Bowie.

A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest and indictment in this case.

Police were called to the 700 block of Audrey Lane for the report of a shooting just before midnight Friday. When they arrived, they found Green outside suffering from gunshot wounds. He died at a hospital a short time later.

Officers found Jackson behind a nearby apartment building. He had also been shot and was pronounced dead at the scene. It appears he ran after being shot and collapsed behind the building, police say.

Detectives do not believe this was a random act. Investigators are working to identify the suspect(s) and motive in this case.
