Bowie Walmart Remodel Nearing Completion

The Bowie Walmart store, located at 3300 Crain Highway, Bowie, Md., is wrapping up the final days of its remodel in preparation for a grand reopening ribbon-cutting at 8 a.m. next Friday, May 19.

Highlights of the remodel include a state-of-the-art electronics department that allows customers to try laptops, tablets and other technology prior to purchasing, as well as newly designed areas for Walmart Pickup and financial services at the front of the store. In addition, the store brought back its fabric department, added 12 self-checkouts, and larger signage has been installed throughout for ease of navigation.

“We continuously strive to meet the evolving needs of our customers and improve their shopping experience,” said Store Manager Daniel Hall. “We know they’ll be happy to have all the remodeling activity cleared out so they can enjoy the enhancements we’ve been working on in recent months.”
