Boy Tumbled Down Well, Rescued By Prince George's Firefighters

A boy who fell 15 to 20 feet down a well in Prince George's County was rescued by firefighters and a technical rescue team.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — A boy fell down a well Monday, tumbling 15 to 20 feet down. The well was located near a home off Enterprise Road in Bowie. A technical rescue team used a pulley system to help retrieve the boy from the bottom of the well.

According to Prince George's County Fire and Rescue, it isn't known how serious the boy's injuries were or how he fell into the well. Technical rescue crews from Stations 806 and 847, along with the Berwyn Heights Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad, responded, along with Hazmat units and personnel from Stations 18, 39 and 48. They were on the scene for a couple of hours and the patient was taken to the hospital for treatment of his non-life-threatening injuries.
