USDA Fire: Blaze Breaks Out at Beltsville Building
Firefighters have gotten the two-alarm fire under control, and ATF investigators will be responding to the scene.
BELTSVILLE, MD — A significant fire broke out at a U.S. Department of Agriculture building in Beltsville, and emergency personnel were eventually able to get the blaze under control.
Prince George's County fire spokesman Mark Brady said via Twitter that fire units have reported a "heavy volume of fire."
As of about 10:45 a.m., responding units appeared to have the fire under control. Investigators from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives were headed to the location. Media reports indicate that officials closed the building last week due to an emailed threat.
