BRAVE (Building Resilience After Very Difficult Experiences) is a peer community for middle and high school students who have lost a parent, with connection at its core. Through community gatherings and shared experiences, we create opportunities for teens to connect, feel understood, and know they are not alone.
While loss is what brings us together, connection is what B.R.A.V.E. is all about. Many of our events focus on fun, creativity, and community because healing doesn't always happen through talking. Sometimes it happens through simply being together.
Join BRAVE and the GW Art Therapy Program for a free community event created specifically for middle and high school students who have lost a parent.
Together, we'll paint, connect, and spend time with others who truly understand what it's like to navigate life after loss.
No artistic experience is needed. All supplies are provided.
