📢 Community members - Adopters and fosters are needed for 13&nbsp;dogs on the urgent list by today, 6/9,&nbsp;to save their lives.&nbsp;The adoption fee is free/sponsored for a few dogs on this list. They are at full capacity with dogs and need space for more dogs coming in. Please meet and adopt them during adoption hours on Tuesday. See info and photos below and at the links.
As of 6/8 PM: Up to 13 dogs need adopters and fosters! Check for updates at the Facebook link.&nbsp;&nbsp; +&nbsp;The adoption fee is free (sponsored) for Maya and&nbsp;Walter, and it's free for&nbsp;Toby (based on weighing over&nbsp;80 pounds.)&nbsp;&nbsp;

BRAVE (Building Resilience After Very Difficult Experiences) is a peer community for middle and high school students who have lost a parent, with connection at its core. Through community gatherings and shared experiences, we create opportunities for teens to connect, feel understood, and know they are not alone.&nbsp;
While loss is what brings us together, connection is what B.R.A.V.E. is all about. Many of our events focus on fun, creativity, and community because healing doesn't always happen through talking. Sometimes it happens through simply being together.
Join BRAVE and the GW Art Therapy Program for a free community event created specifically for middle and high school students who have lost a parent.
Together, we'll paint, connect, and spend time with others who truly understand what it's like to navigate life after loss.
No artistic experience is needed. All supplies are provided.

City of Bowie kids and families are invited to celebrate Juneteenth through creativity, culture, and self-expression at the ArtBae Juneteenth Crown Decorating Workshop on June 18 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Kenhill Center.
In partnership with ArtBae, this hands-on workshop invites participants to design and decorate their own crowns using paint and other creative materials. Crowns have long symbolized pride, resilience, achievement, and heritage, making them a meaningful way to honor the spirit and significance of Juneteenth.
