Prekindergarten Playtime is also know as "my first homeschool tutorial" or "kindergarten readiness". The only minimum skill required is being fully potty trained. We use games, hands-on activities and art projects to teach fundamental skills required for starting homeschooling or school-based Kindergarten level activities- including social and emotional skills, language and number literacy and scientific thinking.
Our well-known homeschool tutorial provides an original curriculum that is customized to each group of enrolled students each semester. We first get to know you and your student(s) and then work to find the what and how that works best for this collection of human beings. Our strategies are highly interactive, play-based, art-integrated and often project-based. We craft an experience based on your student without leaving your student to drive instruction on their own. Each 3-hour session weaves a combination of skills across academic subjects (including "specials") into activities. We send home work samples and walk parents through what we did, encouraging you to take pictures, ask questions, and make requests. Rather than organizing based on age, we organize based on minimum skills and then provide open-ended activities that allow each student to engage on the level they are working at.
Prekindergarten Playtime
Absolute Beginners! For little ones who are just getting started.
Minimum Skills:
NONE
Pre-Kindergarten Playtime will get your child familiar with letter names and basic sounds, numbers up to 10, names and basic characteristic of shapes, names of colors and more. They will develop social skills as they get to play and make friends.
Recommended for Ages: 3 – 5 yrs *Must be fully potty trained or have a parent who can stay to help with toileting
