Why are you seeking this office?

I'm running because Prince George's County needs a county council that listens.

Please complete this statement: The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is \_\_\_, and this is what I intend to do about it.

Public Safety. And I will enhance public safety by bringing public health first responders to the county.

What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

My experience being a public defender for 5 years and my experience clerking on the Maryland Court of Appeals are unique experiences I would bring to the office.

If you are challenging an incumbent, in what way has the current officeholder failed the community?
I've heard from the public that they're frustrated with political games like gerrymandering and zoning changes without public notice or input coming from the County Council.

What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?

I want to improve education by encouraging higher teacher pay and expanding the community schools program. And I want to improve our local economy while protecting the environment by focusing on smart growth development and passing the climate action plan.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

As a public defender, I represent dozens of individuals every weeks going through really tough times. I have to listen to their concerns and then fashion a way to solve their problems. As a county council member, I'll be responsible to hearing the concerns of constituents and will fashion ways to improve their daily lives.

What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?
"Control what you can control" -this was the mantra of my high school basketball coach
