Cat Colony To SPCA: Senior Kitty Needs Home To Enjoy Golden Years

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Patch recently partnered with the SPCA/Humane Society of Prince George's County. Each week, we will bring you the cutest pets looking for homes. Here are this week's adorable adoptables. Click on their names for more information.

Personality: I’d rather be a lover than a fighter, but I got in a few fights in my younger days. I’m older now, and have had most of my teeth removed, so I’m content to just be a lap cat. There’s nothing I love more than being petted! I’m very curious and like to explore. I also love to eat! Occasionally I get the cat version of zoomies and run around pouncing on everything. The vets say I’m an old man, but I don’t feel old at all! New things scare me a bit, but a calm, friendly voice reassuring me is all I need to feel comfortable.

Hobbies: Playing with toys, being petted.

Favorite Toy: Strings, catnip, anything I can chase.

Favorite Napping Spot: Snuggled up next to my person.

Dream Family: I’m looking forward to living my best years in a quiet home with lots of toys and human company. My new family will need to remember I haven’t lived inside for very long and will need to be careful I don’t run outside when I see an open door.

How I Came To The SPCA: I was part of a backyard colony and soon after being neutered, I invited myself into my feeder’s house and never left. Her two older house cats don’t like having a new sibling though, so I’m looking for a home where I won’t have to compete for attention.

The local SPCA is a volunteer-run organization that does not operate a physical shelter. Volunteers house the animals in their own homes until they are adopted.
