Special Art Exhibit Highlights Prince George's Talent, Raises Funds For Youth
Enjoy a black-tie evening at the Black Art Showcase March 25 celebrating local artists while raising money for youth programs.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — The Black Art Showcase, a black-tie event at Oxon Hill Manor, will celebrate talented Prince George’s County artists. Enjoy an elegant night on March 25 from 7 to 10:30 p.m. featuring a silent auction, music, live performance and refreshments while supporting local African American artists.
Sponsored by the Prince George's County Department of Parks and Recreation, the showcase will highlight artwork from seven local artists. Their work will be available to purchase in a silent auction. Proceeds from this showcase will go towards free art developmental workshops to enrich young African American artists throughout Prince George’s County.
“The Black Art Showcase celebrates the immense talent Prince George’s County has to offer,” Tristan Colding, Program Specialist with the Prince George’s County Department of Parks and Recreation, said. “We hope to not only elevate Prince Georgian’s experiences of art but also stress the importance it has to our youth.”
