Celebrate Earth Day at Bowie Concert and Art Show

Celebrate Earth Day with Bowie City Green Team at their nature-themed concert and “Energy” art show on Saturday, April 18, at 7 p.m. at the Bowie Center for Performing Arts.
The free, family-friendly concert will feature the four nature-related musical groups Category 5 Flute Quartet lead by Caitlyn Callahan, The Choraleers lead by Craig Sparks, Suzuki Cello Studio lead by Irma Cripe, and the SGI Japanese Taiko Drummers lead by Amanda Gardner performing in front of an environmental silent film by local award-winning filmmaker Kali Belden.
The art display will consist of work by students from Bowie High School, Oxon Hill Middle School, and Rockledge Elementary. The exhibit has been organized by Cecilia Hazelton of Abrakadoodle and Bowie Green Team volunteer, Nathaniel Scott.
