Redskins Superfan Chief Zee Laid to Rest in Upper Marlboro
Redskins games likely won't feel the same to fans without Zema Williams rocking his signature headdress.
To those that knew him personally, he was Zema Williams. To hundreds of thousands of Washington Redskins fans, he was Chief Zee. And on Tuesday, he was laid to rest in Upper Marlboro after passing away at the age of 75.
Dan Snyder, the owner of the Redskins and frequently a local villain, was the one who came through in making the funeral happen by contributing thousands of dollars to cover the costs, according to a WUSA9 report.
Chief Zee was a staple at Redskins games with his colorful headdress, cheering on the burgundy and gold. Williams had been to every Redskins home game for the past three decades.

Friends and family said their final goodbyes to Williams at the First Baptist Church of Glenarden in Upper Marlboro. Former Redskins Mark Mosely and Daryl Grant were among those who spoke at the service, and the funeral was filled with Redskins memorabilia, according to the report. One of his sons even handed another his signature headdress.
Williams passed away peacefully on July 19 at his home, survived by his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and his sister. He will be buried at Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Jacksonville, Fla.
