Christmas Tree Farms Near Prince George's County: Hours, Sites

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Christmas tree lots and farms near Prince George's County are ready for people to hunt down that perfect live tree. While some people prefer the convenience of artificial Christmas trees, some prefer to showcase a freshly cut tree picked from a pop-up lot or cut down themselves from a farm.

Linden Hill Christmas Tree Farm is the only farm listed in Prince Goerg's County, but it's closed this year due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Neighboring Anne Arundel County has a few Christmas tree farms, however.

Some places also treat visitors to sleigh rides, special treats and other holiday events. Always call before you go to confirm their supply, their hours and whether they have trees, are allowing choose-and-cut or just precut trees; and which attractions or winter activities are available.

• Modlin's Tree Farm: 5810 Little Rd., Lothian; open daily 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; you-choose and cut-your-own Christmas trees, precut Christmas trees, wreaths, garlands, decorations, winter hay rides, gift shop
• Y Worry Pumpkin Patch & Christmas Tree Farm: 1501 Rossback Rd., Davidsonville; open weekends 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; precut Christmas trees, wreaths, garlands, roping
• Vince's Farm and Nursery: 301 Marben Rd., Linthicum Heights; opening Dec. 1 daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; offers live Christmas trees, decor and homemade wreaths.
